| One of Heathers traveling companions, Ellen Halverson, poses with her Red Lantern trophy given to the musher who is the last to finish. While the trophy started as a joke, it is now seen as quite an honor as the person who wins it demonstrates the spirit of the race overcoming many obsticles.
