Welcome to Hardcore Huskies!

Hello. My name is Heather Siirtola and I am the owner/operator of the The Hardcore Huskies racing team. The Team and I ran and completed our third consecutive Iditarod this year. We finished in 51st place in 15 days, 11 hours 35 minutes.

Considering the weather this year, not bad for a small kennel up against the big boys! We hope to continue to improve and one day compete for the big prize.

We added some new members to the Hardcore Team in 2009 and expect to our time to significantly improve in future races.

Iditarod is not just for mushers! Iditarod is for students and educators. Iditarod is an incredible teaching tool that leads students to academic success in science, math, and all other curriculum areas.
