Welcome to Hardcore Huskies!

Hello. My name is Heather Siirtola and I am the owner/operator of the The Hardcore Huskies racing team. The Team and I ran and completed our third consecutive Iditarod earlier this year. We finished in 51st place in 15 days, 11 hours 35 minutes.

Considering the weather this year, not bad for a small kennel up against the big boys! We hope to continue to improve and one day compete for the big prize.

We added some new members to the Hardcore Team in 2009 and expect to our time to significantly improve in future races.

Hello from Our New House!!!

As you all know one of my big dreams was to race in and finish the Iditarod. I have achieved that dream three times now with hopefully more to come. The other big dream I have had was to get my own place and to firmly establish my own kennel.

Guess what? I’ve finally done that too!
